In the properly prepared Montessori school, a child is able to “teach” himself through the use of specially designed Montessori materials. The Montessori materials are self-correcting which allows the child to see for herself if an error is made. This allows the child to build confidence by “fixing” the error himself. Self-discipline is gradually acquired through absorption in the meaningful work found in the Montessori prepared environment.Children in Mis Manos Montessori School environment work at their own pace. The classroom is non-competitive and children choose work that is appropriate to the level they are at.
